How compass brings value added in consulting?

There are two ways of doing consulting. First one is by drawing a map based on customer understanding. Second one is by following an existing map to advice customers. As J.P. Morgan has said: “No problem can be solved until it is reduced to some simple form”. Best consultants reformulate complex problems into simple questions, capitalize on effective maps or start with a blank page and use their compass with open-mindedness and critical sense to draw a new map.
